Day 16 Scan

Day 2 of menses
We met Dr P after almost 2 years. It felt nice to see him. There were a few familiar faces at the clinic but quite a number of new faces too. i miss Nurse H...she left the practice about the same time of our IVF in 2011. I promised Dr P to bring my son during my next appointment since he has been asking me to bring our lil man. The visit is very brief. Just a chat on the next step...the main thing is, I can still do our FET while breastfeeding. Of course if the FET is successful, my milk supply will decrease. Dr P then asked us to come back on day 16/17 of my cycle to scan for polyps since I have the history with one.

If you are going for FET, this stage is not necessary as you can avoid the consultation cost.
Charges: RM120

Day 16 of menses
Lets start with the bad news first. We were the first to arrive and was informed that Dr P was not around. My husband obviously wasn't happy about it as we have scheduled our work, came in for the appointment and nobody from the clinic informed us about this. One of the nurse asked if it is ok if I see Dr Helena. To be honest, yes I do mind. I am very comfortable with Dr P and the thought of going to see a brand new doctor is just...too much. But I said yes anyway since we have arrived and day 16 is the best time to check for polyps since I have 35 days cycle.

Good news - no charge for the day even though Dr Helena did a vaginal scan for me. That was nice of the clinic. So I guess that is fine. Dr H is very friendly and I can tell that she is very experienced. But personally, I still prefer Dr Prashant. I am not going to compare 2 doctors here as I have been with Dr P right from the beginning. So I am always bias! Anyway, Dr H asked us to come back on day 14 of my menses of when we want to perform the FET.

Now is the time for me to think...after Eid or Sept? Hmmmmmmmm...we have some thinking to do. Until then, happy fasting to my Muslim readers.

The start of our FET journey

Dear readers,

It has been an amazing one year as a mother and it is worth every penny spent as well as every effort, seconds put into my ivf journey.

We have decided to start our FET sometimes towards the end of this year. I am still breastfeeding my lil man...fully. And I plan to do so for as long as I can. I got my period 4 months ago when my son turned 8 months.  Not sure of the next step but Dr Prashant did advise me to wait at least 6 months before FET. It has been a year now and I have an appointment to see Dr Prashant tomorrow to discuss about this since tomorrow is my Day 2 of my period for this month.

Bismillahirrohmanirrohim....here is to a start to my FET journey... :)

37 weeks +++

Hello :) I am still pregnant and counting days until I could meet my son. I have been blessed with an ok pregnancy so far but this week, I've started going on MC. My baby is quite small ie at 2.5 kgs now when he should be around 2.9kgs and my water level is low. So I'm gonna be staying at home and drink plenty of water. I'm very worried of his health but I know worrying won't help either one of us. So ive started drinking more and more now :) I hope my son will come out sometimes next week. But the decision is his. I'll try to talk to him slowly :) I just met Dr Premitha last Fri but I will need to come and see her tomorrow as well since my water level is low. Thank u all for reading and I hope everyone is coping ok. Life is a mystery but one thing for sure, it I an adventure.

35 weeks +++

I am now a happy patient of Dr Premitha again! I called the hospital before each visit to ensure no long wait. So far, less than 15 mins wait! Hooorayyyy :) I'm feeling soooo heavy now. There are days I couldn't even walk without the help from hubby. I've put on 12 kgs of extra weight to date. Hopefully I won't put on too much more...5 more weeks to go! So much to do, so lil time...hopefully all will go well. Tomorrow we are going to get the cot and start to assemble the cot :) I can't wait!!! Have a good weekend everyone!

32 Weeks +++

Amazing! In less than 10 mins, I got to see the Dr today. Thanks to the nurse in charge who called me to let me know the best time to come. Today, we saw our son's hair! Yes he is not bald hehe. And he is 1.8 kgs now. I've gained 0.5 kg since my last visit to see Dr Premitha 3 weeks ago. Total weight gain to date is 10kgs! I experienced the contraction like pain twice today. OMG they were painful! But the breathing technique works. The pain only lasted for about 30 secs. Hmmmmm.... I can't wait to hold my son. We have his car seat and changing mat ready now though his cot is not up yet. I'll wait until I'm about 36 weeks for that ;) hubby almost dances when he talks about his son. The joy of expecting your first child is amazing. once in awhile, I think about our frozen eggs in the lab....my babies are in the lab. I hope they too are doing ok....

31 weeks +++

Hello, I am officially in my third trimester now. I recently visited Dr Premitha at 29 weeks pregnant and waited 2 hours and 45 minutes to see her. It was horrible. I felt like giving up. I am not sure if the wait is worth my time. Even with appointment, I had to wait that long :( Anyway, at 30 weeks, I went to FMGC to see Dr Rahman for an additional check for second opinion. All looks good but of course, I didn't get to see my baby's face. He is a placenta kisser, per Dr Raman. Well, as long as he is well and healthy, I'm happy. My baby weighs 1.53kg at 30 weeks. Quite heavy! I'm going to see Dr Premitha for my 32 weeks checkup soon. I hope the wait will not be too long this time. My coccyx pain is still there...ive been feeling really tired lately, hence no time and mood to blog. But I'll try my best to update once in awhile. And oh, hubby bought a new car for the baby :) we now have a seven seater car! It is obvious hubby wants a big family but let's take it slow for now k :) Till next time!
