Once in awhile, every couple struggling with infertility would wish for a miracle to happen. I was definitely one of them. When my son turned one last July, I started planning my FET. So after Eid, I started the ovulation tracking on top of consistent visit to Dr Prashant to make sure I would not miss my fertile days. We never get that positive sign on the stick....so Dr Prashant advised that I come back on day 2 of my next cycle. Frustrated, but no other choice. We had to delay out FET to November.
But yesterday was Day 55 of my cycle and still no period. I decided to buy the cheapest pregnancy test kit available at the pharmacy. I got a positive sign. How is that possible? I thought I didn't ovulate last month. On top of that, we both know the chance of us conceiving naturally is close to none? Hubby and I straight away went to a nearby clinic for an ultrasound. And we saw a beautiful sac, the doctor confirmed that I am pregnant. Currently about 8 weeks old. I'm going to see my gynae tomorrow at the hospital, just to be sure and to check on the heart beat.
I was hoping for a miracle and we got our miracle. Hopefully this will be a good pregnancy, and may God protect my second child. Don't stop praying and hoping for your miracle....it can happen to anyone :) Hello first trimester, we meet again!

Day 16 Scan
Day 2 of menses
We met Dr P after almost 2 years. It felt nice to see him. There were a few familiar faces at the clinic but quite a number of new faces too. i miss Nurse H...she left the practice about the same time of our IVF in 2011. I promised Dr P to bring my son during my next appointment since he has been asking me to bring our lil man. The visit is very brief. Just a chat on the next step...the main thing is, I can still do our FET while breastfeeding. Of course if the FET is successful, my milk supply will decrease. Dr P then asked us to come back on day 16/17 of my cycle to scan for polyps since I have the history with one.
If you are going for FET, this stage is not necessary as you can avoid the consultation cost.
Charges: RM120
Day 16 of menses
Lets start with the bad news first. We were the first to arrive and was informed that Dr P was not around. My husband obviously wasn't happy about it as we have scheduled our work, came in for the appointment and nobody from the clinic informed us about this. One of the nurse asked if it is ok if I see Dr Helena. To be honest, yes I do mind. I am very comfortable with Dr P and the thought of going to see a brand new doctor is just...too much. But I said yes anyway since we have arrived and day 16 is the best time to check for polyps since I have 35 days cycle.
Good news - no charge for the day even though Dr Helena did a vaginal scan for me. That was nice of the clinic. So I guess that is fine. Dr H is very friendly and I can tell that she is very experienced. But personally, I still prefer Dr Prashant. I am not going to compare 2 doctors here as I have been with Dr P right from the beginning. So I am always bias! Anyway, Dr H asked us to come back on day 14 of my menses of when we want to perform the FET.
Now is the time for me to think...after Eid or Sept? Hmmmmmmmm...we have some thinking to do. Until then, happy fasting to my Muslim readers.

The start of our FET journey
Dear readers,
It has been an amazing one year as a mother and it is worth every penny spent as well as every effort, seconds put into my ivf journey.
We have decided to start our FET sometimes towards the end of this year. I am still breastfeeding my lil man...fully. And I plan to do so for as long as I can. I got my period 4 months ago when my son turned 8 months. Not sure of the next step but Dr Prashant did advise me to wait at least 6 months before FET. It has been a year now and I have an appointment to see Dr Prashant tomorrow to discuss about this since tomorrow is my Day 2 of my period for this month.
Bismillahirrohmanirrohim....here is to a start to my FET journey... :)
