Day 16 Scan

Day 2 of menses
We met Dr P after almost 2 years. It felt nice to see him. There were a few familiar faces at the clinic but quite a number of new faces too. i miss Nurse H...she left the practice about the same time of our IVF in 2011. I promised Dr P to bring my son during my next appointment since he has been asking me to bring our lil man. The visit is very brief. Just a chat on the next step...the main thing is, I can still do our FET while breastfeeding. Of course if the FET is successful, my milk supply will decrease. Dr P then asked us to come back on day 16/17 of my cycle to scan for polyps since I have the history with one.

If you are going for FET, this stage is not necessary as you can avoid the consultation cost.
Charges: RM120

Day 16 of menses
Lets start with the bad news first. We were the first to arrive and was informed that Dr P was not around. My husband obviously wasn't happy about it as we have scheduled our work, came in for the appointment and nobody from the clinic informed us about this. One of the nurse asked if it is ok if I see Dr Helena. To be honest, yes I do mind. I am very comfortable with Dr P and the thought of going to see a brand new doctor is just...too much. But I said yes anyway since we have arrived and day 16 is the best time to check for polyps since I have 35 days cycle.

Good news - no charge for the day even though Dr Helena did a vaginal scan for me. That was nice of the clinic. So I guess that is fine. Dr H is very friendly and I can tell that she is very experienced. But personally, I still prefer Dr Prashant. I am not going to compare 2 doctors here as I have been with Dr P right from the beginning. So I am always bias! Anyway, Dr H asked us to come back on day 14 of my menses of when we want to perform the FET.

Now is the time for me to think...after Eid or Sept? Hmmmmmmmm...we have some thinking to do. Until then, happy fasting to my Muslim readers.

xx
