One day, i think i should write a book...until then, i will continue recording my journey in this blog, for the benefit of everyone reading this, including myself. This is my FET journey story...
We decided this month is going to be our FET month since i have had 3 stable menses cycles, post delivery of my second son. Until Day 17, i was not able to get a positive on my ovulation test. Bummer.
I went to see Dr P at Day 5 and Day 12. Just to scan to ensure everything is ok. Actually the 2 visits were not compulsory. What we need is a positive on the ovulation kit, call the clinic and that is it. Unlucky me, since my positive only appears on Day 18 of my cycle, i had to come in and did a blood test to test my progestrone level. Per Nurse S, this is to get a more accurate result on my ovulation.
Paid RM80 for the blood test - and my ovulation has been confirmed to be on Dar 19. This means my FET will be 5 days after ie Day 24.
Day 24 is finally here. Went to the clinic with full bladder and waited for Dr P uncomfortably in the OT. Uncomfortable because i wanted to pee so badly! Dr P was kind enough to let me empty my bladder on a count to 10 but i peed on a count to 7 only. Just to make sure i didnt overdo it.
Went back to the OT. And ET began. W e froze 3 embies. One did not survive, two made it to day 5 with 1 blastocyst and 1 almost blastocyst. So today, Hubby and me decided to transfer one and hopefully freeze the other one, hoping the other embie will survive tonight. If not, we will be left with nothing and if FET is unsuccessful, we have to do another round of IVF/ICSI.
The procedure was quick. 5 mins but uncomfortable. I could feel my vagina being stretched open and a little tickly inside the uterus. Then done. As per last time, i rested for 10 minutes in the OT, and then hang out in the waiting room for 30 minutes before we went home.
Hubby paid RM4,950 today for FET, pregnancy test and duphaston. I will be on 3 days MC. I planned to do 48 hours of bedrest and 24 hours of just chilling before i go back to work.
I am now officially in my 2WW...again...
Symptoms so far? slight cramp and tingly feeling in the left side of my uterus/tummy/abdomen...maybe a bit emotional but i have been quite emotional lately... plus way too early to have any symptoms as today in Day 5, the blastocyst is probably hatching itself out and hopelly will implant tomorrow...
